I found this great little piece of snake palm wood. I didn't really know what the end result would be, so I just let the wood speak to me. This wood is extremely hard to turn. It is like compacted grass that is full of fuzz and strings. As I turned the piece I needed to seal it so I could remove the hairy fuzz.
My final piece turned out great. A perfect holder for my wife's obsidian sphere! She just loves it.
