The Great Flood of 1916!
Two major hurricane vehemently afflicted the Blue Ridge Mtn and Catawba River Valley in July of 1916. The "Great Flood" is still one of the worst force majeure to ever hit the Carolinas. Even so, the demolition would lead to the change of Lake Wylie and that of the Catawba River!
