Born and raised in Troutman NC, this welder has the amazing ability to breathe life into any kind of steel. With a mix of refurbished and brand-new metal, this crafter has the uncanny ability to pull images from his imagination and place them straight into our showroom windows. Made in USA, this is our wondrously detailed Map of Greenwood Lake in Orange County, New York and Passaic County, New Jersey!

Approximately 9 miles long and 0.7 miles wide
Maximum Depth: 57 Feet
Surface Area: 1,920 Acres
Shoreline: 22 Miles

Munsee Indians originally inhabited the expanse around Greenwood Lake, followed by the first European settlers in the 1700s. The Indians had christened the lake "Quampium", but it was renamed "Long Pond" by the new settlers, and ultimately "Greenwood Lake. 🍂🏘🏞

Lake Hickory was created on the Catawba River in 1927 with the completion of the Oxford Dam 11 miles northeast of Hickory. The dam parallels the NC Highway,_16 bridge over the Catawba River between Interstate 40 and Taylorsville. It is 122 feet high, with an overall length of 1,200 feet. The spillway section of the dam is 550 feet long. 

Lake Hickory was named after the city of Hickory and runs along its northern edge. The lake covers almost 4,223 acres with 105 miles of shoreline. Full pond elevation is 935 feet. Lake Hickory is a reliable source of water for the cities of Hickory and Conover and the town of Longview.

Duke Energy provides five public access areas on the lake in cooperation with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

A view of surrounding mountain peaks and wildlife make the lake a beauty. The water is a crystal clear blue color because the lake has a sandy bottom as opposed to the murky waters that a clay bottom provides.

It is a narrow river-like reservoir within the large Catawba River Basin. About three fourths of the lake's watershed is forested and only three percent developed!
