We love to share what we've learned about the lakes we design.
31 Mile Lake is the largest lake in the Gatineau Valley. Known for its clear water and abundance of fish – such as Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Bass, Whitefish and others. It stretches from Point Comfort (at the South) to Ste-Therese-de-la-Gatineau (at the North). The vast majority of its shoreline is still undeveloped and in its natural, pristine state.
Also known as: Lac des Trente et Un Milles. The surface of the lake is generally frozen from mid-November to late April; nevertheless, the period of safe circulation on the ice is generally from mid-December to the end of March. Ice provides recreational and winter activities such as snowmobiling, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and ice fishing. In summer, boating, beaches and the many wild islands make the lake famous.
