The closest lake to Uptown CLT, Mountain Island Lake's occasionally referred to as “Charlotte’s only lake”. The lake is welcoming to the common for boating and fishing use! The lake also cause HEP and supports River-bend Steam Station by calming the steam that propel the turbines!
