This is a beautifully detailed, laser engraved and precision cut topographical Map of Loxahatchee River in Florida with the following interesting stats carved into it:
- Loxahatchee in Seminole means “turtle river”.
- Length: 7.6 Miles
Interesting factoids: The river itself has three main forks that flow to the central embayment area before heading out the Jupiter Inlet. The Northwest Fork of the river is Florida’s first federally designated Wild and Scenic River. Once this slow moving river reaches the central embayment, the water becomes brackish, part freshwater and part saltwater, as it mixes with incoming tides from the Jupiter Inlet.
(Not all of this information made it onto the map, we just love to read up on the lakes we design)
