This is a beautifully detailed, laser engraved and precision cut topographical Map of Douglas Lake in Jefferson, Cocke, Sevier and Hamblen Counties, Tennessee with the following interesting stats carved into it:
- Max. Length: 43 Miles
- Shoreline: 513 Miles
- Surface Area: 28,420 Acres
Interesting factoid: Douglas Dam was built by the Tennessee Valley Authority from February 2, 1942 through February 19, 1943, during the peak of World War II. The dam was built in record time for a facility of its size, only requiring 12 months and 17 days of construction. The dam was named for Douglas Bluff which overlooked the dam site before the dam was constructed.
(Not all of this information made it onto the map, we just love to read up on the lakes we design).
