Fishing Creek reservoir is a fabulous lake whose waters flow into Lake Wateree. The lake is fascinating for both tourists and fishermen! It is brought to light near the Old English expanse of the state, where you can discover a numerous amount of historical and ethnic sites!
The reservoir was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The construction process of the lake began in 1916, during which a dam was created on the reservoir! It furnishes the Duke Energy hydroelectric station. At present Fishing Creek Lake is one of thirteen reservoirs, ensuring the well ordered operation of the station!
Many species of fish inhabit the waters of the lake. Experienced anglers can catch even a twelve-pound large perch! White perch, bream, black crappie are the prime species located here. On several sides of the lake, there are five fishing attractors. All of them are noticeable by buoys! 🎣
